As the top writers on this year’s Hot 100 List we want to do as much as we can to continue the exposure and word of mouth in the investment circles of the industry. Another way we do this is with writer interviews that we send far and wide and showcase at all possible meetings and markets.

THE BIG WORLD OF LITTLE LU-LU BELL

What motivated you to write this project?
I had lost my job and saw an ad for a screenplay competition. At that moment, I started writing and haven’t stopped. My sister’s story inspired me to write “The Big World of Little Lu-Lu Bell”. She was born with different abilities. Instead of targeting one specific disability, I chose something that no one has; but, I am confident everyone will be able to relate to this story in some way.
The Big World of Little Lu-Lu Bell has such a fantastical world that you created- where does your creativity come from?
I normally come up with ideas while lying in bed.
Do you write projects knowing that so many other factors need to happen to get it to screen and does that come into your project creation?
I had to learn all of the rules, then I broke them. My project is unique, not at all like any other.
What is your dream for this project and what other ancillary revenue do you think it could generate?
My dream is to find an Executive Producer to help fund my world-wide movie. I have many individuals who want to collaborate. I now have a Director, a Producer, and an Art Director all on board. As for ancillaries, every little girl is going to want toys, clothes, books, bears, video games, etc… It has a lot of potential to generate a very high revenue, millions.
How has your experience been with screenwriting contests for this project so far?
My script placed 1st on the “Hot 100 List” for Capital Fund Screenplay Competition in 2019, it placed on Page International, Los Angeles International, and Big Break competitions in 2018.
If you could stand in a room full of investor partners looking at many projects what would you like them to know about you and this project?
I’m Suzanne Varney. A very hard working, results oriented individual. I have an amazing, unique story. I am aiming for a top-notch cast and crew and the film is going to be awesome!!!!!!
