Writers Interviews, Kashad Moore

WRITER PROFILE

It’s always great to get together with a large group of writers and investors and keep up to date on what’s new, the screenplay contest, any recent deals, new dealmaker contacts, agents or managers that are looking and simply encouraging everyone to keep going after every dream in this difficult industry. For the hard working writer we want to do as much as we can to continue the exposure and word of mouth in the investment circles of the industry. Another way we do this is with writer interviews that we send far and wide and showcase at all possible meetings and markets.

We want to encourage your writing spirit, motivate you and again give you the accolades you so deserve.

Written by Kashad Moore

What motivated you to become a writer?

I wanted to tell stories but lacked the patience and endurance for novels. *Bleep* that *Bleep*.

Starting on a blank page is not easy- where does your creativity come from? My gifts come from God. He shows me the story in every part of life.

Do you write projects knowing that so many other factors need to happen to get it to screen and does that come into your project creation?

Yeah, but that’s somebody else’s problem. My problem and job is to write an amazing, marketable script that millions of people will spend billions of dollars to watch and recommend. Every word of that last sentence is a problem in its own right. As a writer, I can only do my best at what I do. If I do that, the other factors will play themselves out. If not, wasn’t meant to be.

What is your dream for this project and what other ancillary revenue do you think it could generate? Please include script title in reply.

Which project? I got 3 in the Hot 100! Where’s my overall deal? ANGEL EYE, ALL gods MUST DIE, and IVY: SEEDS OF POWER are all installments in my superhero universe and a very particular tale. My dream is to find someone who wants to not only make their own MCU, but understands the capital and creative freedom needed for such a feat.

How has your experience been with screenwriting contests for this project so far? I gotten out of the first round a few times. That’s it.

If you could stand in a room full of investor partners looking at many projects what would you like them to know about you and this project?

You’ll have to spend $150-200 million to make it and market it, but we’ll bring back $1Bil. And we are going to do it 24 times minimum. Numerous franchises we can make into trilogies. You like IP for video games, streaming, comic series?  Let’s talk.

Do you have any website links for your writing, credits, background, etc that you would like to share?

Yes! Check out my production company Writemoore Media at Instagram. @writemooremedia
