Writers Interviews, Robert Drusetta revisited

WRITER PROFILE

It’s always great to get together with a large group of writers and investors and keep up to date on what’s new, the screenplay contest, any recent deals, new dealmaker contacts, agents or managers that are looking and simply encouraging everyone to keep going after every dream in this difficult industry. For the hard working writer we want to do as much as we can to continue the exposure and word of mouth in the investment circles of the industry. Another way we do this is with writer interviews that we send far and wide and showcase at all possible meetings and markets.

We want to encourage your writing spirit, motivate you and again give you the accolades you so deserve.

Hide and See

Written by Robert Drusetta

What motivated you to become a writer?

I first began writing poetry as a child but story ideas kept coming. I love creating exciting original stories – the imagination is a powerful tool.

Starting on a blank page is not easy – where does your creativity come from?

I see stories everywhere. An image, a newspaper heading, a comment from someone at work. These all become “what ifs” to a new story.

Do you write projects knowing that so many other factors need to happen to get it to screen and does that come into your project creation?

I write stories first and foremost. Getting to screen is a whole new ball game. It’s all about timing, networking and a lot of luck. If the story is good enough, someone, somewhere, someday will find it. Patience and perseverance are the keys.

What is your dream for this project and what other ancillary revenue do you think it could generate?

I’d live to get my project “Hide and See” to screen using actor/s from the disabled community to demonstrate their capabilities. And who doesn’t love a good thriller?

How has your experience been with screenwriting contests for this project so far?

This is “Hide and See”‘s first contest. I always enter my projects in the Capital Fund Screenplay Competition because I highly value the financiers opinion and assessment. These are the people who put their money where their mouth is. That fact alone, is more demonstrative of the potential of my project to transfer to screen.

If you could stand in a room full of investor partners looking at many projects what would you like them to know about you and this project?

I love creating stories. I have proven that I am a repeatedly successful story writer. Invest in me, and I will keep producing high quality, market ready stories. So many ideas, so little time. I see stories everywhere.

Do you have any website links for your writing, credits, background, etc that you would like to share?

Yes. Please see my library of available stories at www.gossamerskycreations.com. I am a commissioned writer that also writes to spec.

Thanks again for the recognition for my latest project “Hide and See” and this interview opportunity.
