Writers Interviews, Charles A. Honeywood

WRITER PROFILE

It’s always great to get together with a large group of writers and investors and keep up to date on what’s new, the screenplay contest, any recent deals, new dealmaker contacts, agents or managers that are looking and simply encouraging everyone to keep going after every dream in this difficult industry. For the hard working writer we want to do as much as we can to continue the exposure and word of mouth in the investment circles of the industry. Another way we do this is with writer interviews that we send far and wide and showcase at all possible meetings and markets.

We want to encourage your writing spirit, motivate you and again give you the accolades you so deserve.

UNDOUBTED

Written by Charles A. Honeywood

What motivated you to become a writer?
Apart from being a lover a film, I was inspired to write because I felt the need to be a voice by bringing real-life experiences and optimism together, while providing substance and a sense of belonging, turning life’s problems into writing ideas.

Starting on a blank page is not easy- where does your creativity come from?

My creativity comes from a variety of source. Mainly, it comes from life’s every day struggles. A conversation someone may be having, a stranger having a tough day, a news article or even a dream that I may have had.
Do you write projects knowing that so many other factors need to happen to get it to screen and does that come into your project creation?

I do write project knowing that so many other factors need to happen in order to get it to screen. That aspects comes into my project with this being a very producible project with a high concept.
What is your dream for this project and what other ancillary revenue do you think it could generate?

My dream for this project is to have UNDOUBTED produced by a major motion pictures studio and distributed across the world in all territories. I believe this project will generate over $250,000,000 dollars during it’s theatrical release.
How has your experience been with screenwriting contests for this project so far?

My experience with screenwriting contests have been an uphill battle with this project. The feedback has been fairly good overall. With the help of the feedback and coverage, I’ve been able to develop the script into a well written piece that will attract the likes of many across the board.
If you could stand in a room full of investor partners looking at many projects what would you like them to know about you and this project?

Living in Chicago, my inspiration for writing this story was, bring attention to an issue people seem to care nothing about. although the protagonist, Marcus is Male, I believe everyone can identify with him and I suspect that people of all backgrounds and ages will. most of the personal feelings I have towards the trafficking of women are not based on personal experiences. With the recent epidemic of the disappearance of women in Chicago, I think everyone has some sort of feelings that come to mind when they hear about or have gone through traumatic experiences, and I am of no exception.
