Writers Interviews, Tiffany Hilliard

WRITER PROFILE

It’s always great to get together with a large group of writers and investors and keep up to date on what’s new, the screenplay contest, any recent deals, new dealmaker contacts, agents or managers that are looking and simply encouraging everyone to keep going after every dream in this difficult industry. For the hard working writer we want to do as much as we can to continue the exposure and word of mouth in the investment circles of the industry. Another way we do this is with writer interviews that we send far and wide and showcase at all possible meetings and markets.

We want to encourage your writing spirit, motivate you and again give you the accolades you so deserve.

Why Do Men Cheat

Written by Tiffany Hilliard

What motivated me to become a writer?

I’ve always had a thing for writing. It would go from writing songs, to poems, to short stories, in and outside of school. However, what really captivated me was when I was approached by a guy from Linkedin to write a screenplay for a book that he had recently published, entitled “Why Do Men Cheat.”

Starting on a blank page, where does my creativity come from?

My ideas come from various places and people. Places that I have and have not visited and people that I have or have not met yet.

Do you write projects knowing that so many other factors need to happen to get it to screen and does that come into your project creation?

Yes, yes I do. If I can visualize it, it makes it easier for me to write the stories, despite the factors that are needed; and yes, it does come into my project creation.

What is your dream for this project and what other ancillary revenue do you think it could generate?

My dream for this particular project is to become #1 at the box office. I think this project could provide additional funds via dvd and streaming purchases, and also make room for future projects to be made.

How has your experiences been with screenwriting contests for this project so far?

I don’t have any experience with a screenwriting contest, for this is my first one.

If you could stand in a room full of investor partners looking at many projects, what would you like them to know about you and this project?

I would like for them to know how much of an investment I have made and continue to make in my pursuit of writing. Just like thousands of others I too, have watched and participated in different writing courses and webinars to better my craft of writing, using various sources such as, Stage 32 and www.masterclass.com. So, to put this shortly, I am one who is willing to learn and try something different. As far as this particular project is concerned, I would like the investor partners to know that it would be worth the risk to help with this special piece, because of the return that they would get not just by financial means, but also by the fulfillment of those who will watch this movie.

Do you have any website links for your writing, credits, background, etc that you would like to share?
