WRITER PROFILE
It’s always great to get together with a large group of writers and investors and keep up to date on what’s new, the screenplay contest, any recent deals, new dealmaker contacts, agents or managers that are looking and simply encouraging everyone to keep going after every dream in this difficult industry. For the hard working writer we want to do as much as we can to continue the exposure and word of mouth in the investment circles of the industry. Another way we do this is with writer interviews that we send far and wide and showcase at all possible meetings and markets.
We want to encourage your writing spirit, motivate you and again give you the accolades you so deserve.
“The Fallen Truth”

What motivated you to become a writer?
I started as an actor and I always love going to the movies theater every Sunday, enjoying watching the trailers for the upcoming movies always make me excited, and having all these ideas in my head that I wanted to create, and I decided to start writing my own stories and being an afro-Latina from the Dominican Republic I learned that to put myself out there I have to create my own opportunities.
Starting on a blank page is not easy- where does your creativity come from?
My creativity comes from my emotions, experiences, and thinking a little bit outside the box. Thinking in the audience and how they can relate to the story.
Do you write projects knowing that so many other factors need to happen to get it to screen and does that come into your project creation?
Yes, I know that is a long process but that wouldn’t stop me to take the first step. Everything starting with a first step. I know sometimes projects take years to finish if you don’t have a budget but having a crew and people that love creating and believe in your project, I do believe you can get it done. I already have 3 projects done and I am thinking about how I can get my next project done.
What is your dream for this project and what other ancillary revenue do you think it could generate? Please include the script title in reply.
“The Fallen Truth” Genesis seeks revenge for the death of her sister Alejandra. She is convinced of Sergio’s guilt. As she vows to take down the whole drug cartel in the process, the truth just might change…everything. Nothing turns out as she expects once she finds out…The Fallen Truth
My dream for this project is to make this movie and get distribution. I already have the locations, ideas, actors in mind for this project.
How has your experience been with screenwriting contests for this project so far?
This is my first screenwriting contest, so we will see how it goes.
If you could stand in a room full of investor partners looking at many projects what would you like them to know about you and this project?
I want them to know that I am very passionate and determined in everything I put my mind and heart to and for me being able to create and having a voice in this industry to inspire others through my work means a lot to me.
